Join
us (and Gov. Peter Shumlin!) at the Randolph Elementary School on
October 26th, from 6-8pm for an evening of food, dancing, and Farm to
School fundraising! Our community meal will feature handcrafted soups,
bread baked by the children, and an ice cream extravaganza. The cost is
$8/person, $20/family, and includes take-home pottery bowls. All
proceeds from the meal will be used to purchase local, grass-fed beef
for our Farm-to-School cafeteria program. The evening will also feature a
vibrant farmers market with over a dozen local farms offering veggies,
meats, breads, canned goods, and much more! Live music will be performed
by Peter and Mary Alice Amidon (amidonmusic.com) and Beth Telford and
Alyssa Miller, fiddlers. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, agricultural
activities, and lots of information about our local farms. For more
information, please contact Kristen Gage, RES Farm-to-School
Coordinator, at 728-6558 or kristengage@hughes.net
